Apple Releases iOS 11.4 with support for Messages in iCloud

Apple Releases iOS 11.4 with support for Messages in iCloud – The giant smartphone maker, Apple on Wednesday released iOS 11.4 with support for the long-awaited Messages in iCloud feature, AirPlay 2 multi-room audio, and more.

The most notable new feature arriving with this update is Messages in iCloud, which lets you store all your messages, including photos and other attachments, in Apple’s cloud storage service to free up space on your phone or tablet and allow for better syncing across devices.

Recall that Apple earlier tipped the public about this super feature at last year’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference, and now it’s finally rolling out.

And what does this really mean to Apple users? “All your messages appear when you sign into a new device with the same iMessage account,” Apple explained in its release notes. “When you delete messages and conversations they are instantly removed from all your devices.”

How to enable The New Messages in iCloud Feature?

In order for a user to enable this feature, simply download iOS 11.4, then go to Settings > (your name)> iCloud.

Interestingly, as a users, you are now able to stream music and or podcasts on multiple Airplay 2-enabled speakers in your house just at same time and as well as move music from one room to another room.

You can do that on your iOS device from the Control Center, Lock screen, or via AirPlay controls within apps. Or, even easier, you can use your voice to control AirPlay 2-enabled speakers with the help of Siri on your iPhone, iPad, HomePod, or Apple TV.

“While listening to music, it’s as easy as selecting or unselecting where the music is playing in Control Center, or users can ask Siri to play music in any room, a group of rooms, or everywhere in the home,” Apple explained in a news release, calling it “the most advanced, easy to use, wireless multi-room audio system.”
