Any student can join the Google class in 2 ways; by entering a class code and accepting an invitation. For the class code, your teacher will share out the class code with you and you classmate. While for accepting an invite, your teacher will send you and your classmate an invite link.

To Join Google Class on Your Computer

On your computer you can join a class with a code and an invite link.

Join with a class code:

• Open your web browser.
• Go to classroom.google.com
• Make sure you are signed in with the correct Gmail classroom. If you are signed in with a different Gmail, you can switch accounts at the top left corner. Just click on your profile, and select an account or add another account.
• Then on the top left side, click on “Join class”.
• Enter the class code, which was sent to you by your teacher.

Every class code is up to 6 to 7 characters, and are in letters and numbers. The code doesn’t have any special symbols or spaces in it.

Join a Class with an Invite:

If your teachers have sent you an invite to join a class, you will get the message in mail form on your email. Also, the class will display on your Google classes page.

• Make sure you are signed in with the correct Gmail classroom. If you are signed in with a different Gmail, you can switch accounts at the top left corner. Just click on your profile, and select an account or add another account.
• Then go to Email and click on the invite your teachers sent you.
• Or on the Google classroom page, click on the “Join” button to join the class.

You can click on the “Decline” button next to the “Join” button, if you don’t want to join the class.

On your android phone or tablets you can join a class with a code or an invite link. Then make sure you have downloaded the Google classroom app from the app store.

Join with a class code:

• Open the Google classroom app.
