How to Delete Facebook Page

This post focuses on how to delete Facebook page and deleting your Facebook page means you removing it from Facebook for a period of 14 days, after which you will be asked to confirm the deletion. This 14 day period gives creates an opportunity that lets you cancel the deletion and retain your Facebook page should you change your mind.

But once you confirm the deletion in the 14 day period, your Facebook page will be deleted and there is nothing you can do again to restore the page.

Things to Consider On How to Delete Facebook Page

Unpublishing the Facebook Page Instead of Deleting: When you unpublish a Facebook page, it makes the page inaccessible to the public, and this includes those who have liked the page. Only those with page roles are the ones that will still be able to see your page.

Merge the page With an Existing Similar Page: If you are an admin of another page with a similar name and representation, Facebook lets you merge with the one you don’t want to maintain anymore.

Download a Copy of your Facebook Page Data Before Deleting the Page: You may consider downloading your page details and data, so you have a copy of all your posts, photos, videos and page info.

To do any of these things, go from within the page settings tab, and look for the Page Visibility section to unpublish the page, the Merge Posts area to combine it with a similar page and the Download Page section to download a copy of the page.

Note: You can only download your page from a web browser.

Scroll down on the page settings tab to the very bottom until you see Remove Page.

Select Edit beside it, then select Delete page name.

Select Delete Page on the popup box to send it to deletion mode.
