What if I don’t have my old Facebook Account?

If you don’t have access to the old account, then you can recover it from the login page. Click “forget my password/reset my password”. You have to identify your old account if you don’t have the login details by any of the following;

  • The email that is associated with the account
  • The username you’re using on the account
  • Your name, name of a trusted person on your friend’s list.

How to Deactivate Facebook Account

If the recovery has been successful, the next step is to deactivate the account. And you can do that with the following instructions;

  • Click in the top right of Facebook.
  • Select Settings & privacy > Settings.
  • Click “Your Facebook Information” in the left column.
  • Click on “Deactivation and Deletion” to start.
  • Choose Deactivate Account, then click Continue to Account Deactivation and enter your password when prompted to.

The account will be deactivated and you reactivate it whenever you want.
