Facebook today is giving users the option to wear “masks” in Facebook Live — at least through Halloween. The limited edition masks include a jack-o’-lantern, a witch, a skeleton, and a few animals. This is the first time Facebook has introduced Snapchat-style face filters. The filters are admittedly less flattering than Snapchat’s, but if you want to look like half your face skin is peeling off, it’s a pretty good option.

To begin a stream wearing a mask, open the creative toolbar by tapping the magic wand icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. The mask icon will pop up on the bottom of the screen. If you decide you don’t actually want to make a video looking like a panda, you’ll be able to remove the mask during a video by scrolling left and tapping the “no mask” sign.
In keeping with the spooky spirit, Facebook will also begin rolling out new Halloween-themed reactions today, like a ghost and a heart that cracks into pieces. I guess those reactions probably both mean “I’m dead.”

How to put a Halloween avatar on Facebook
Step 1:
At the personal Facebook account interface, we hover your mouse on the current avatar and select Update avatars .
Step 2:
Switch to the Avatar avatar interface click on the Add frame item .
Step 3:
Next look down at the interface below, we will enter the Halloween keyword in the search bar, or the keyword halloween, hallow, . Immediately below will appear the avatar theme in the correct Halloween theme You need to search.
Step 4:
Select the correct Halloween avatar frame you want to use and look to the right, the frame will be applied to the current Facebook avatar.
Here you can customize the location of your Facebook profile picture , zoom in or zoom out the profile picture with the horizontal bar below, depending on the user.
Step 5:
When you have finished adjusting the Halloween frame on Facebook, users can edit the time to use that avatar image. The section Back to the previous avatar can choose the time to return to the old avatar.
Facebook will give you a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 1 week, possibly Never. In case you want to choose another time, press Custom .
You just need to select the time period you want and click the Set button .
Step 6:
Finally when you have finished designing a Halloween face photo for Facebook, press Use as your avatar . Photos will be changed soon and automatically return to the old Facebook profile picture for the set time, if any.
