Marketplace Not Working – The Facebook Marketplace icon is one we’re all familiar with – or at least most of us. The icon is located in the middle of your app screen menu at the top of your app, or on the menu on the left side on the browser version… except for when it’s not! Odds are you’ll not come across this very often, but you may find yourself in a situation where your marketplace has disappeared, this can be for a number of reasons Facebook Marketplace Icon Missing?
Marketplace Not Working? – Find the reasons and possible fixes below!
1.. You’re under 18 – the marketplace is only available for adults. If you want to use it, ask an older family member for help instead.
2. You are in an unsupported region – several countries and regions aren’t supported. Although countries like the US, Canada, Australia, and Germany are supported, others are not. So, if Facebook thinks you are in an unsupported location, you may not be able to see the marketplace. You can change this by setting your region to somewhere that is supported (or wait until you leave the unsupported region again!).

3. Your account is too new – though not always, some brand new Facebook accounts don’t yet have the marketplace section. This is to prevent scammers and spammers from making new accounts and gaining immediate access. The only thing you need to do is wait for a few hours or days, and it will appear. It can also help to actively use it – comment, interact with friends or posts to show your account is real.
4. You are using an unsupported device – though only a few devices are subject to this, old iPods, for example, don’t support this functionality. You’ll have to access the marketplace via another platform instead.
