Following the announcement by USA authorities, we present to you the Eligibility criteria and the list of DV Lottery 2018 Eligible countries and the people of countries that cannot apply for the announced DV lottery 2018 program.

Criteria For DV Lottery 2018 Eligibility

Below are the requirement and criteria bases upon which one can qualify for the Diversity visa lottery 2018. It also covers the criteria for which an individuals who were not born in an eligible country can also still qualify to make application for the Visa lottery program.

Requirement 1. Accordingly, individuals born in countries whose natives qualify may be eligible to enter. But if you were not born in a country that is not eligible, then there are still two different ways you might still be able to qualify to apply for the program;

1. Are you couple, and your spouse was born in a country whose natives are eligible for the program? If yes, then you can claim your spouse’s country of birth, as long as both you and your spouse names are on the selected entry that are found eligible.

2. Were you born in a country whose natives are ineligible, but in which neither of your parents was born or legally resident at the time of your birth? If yes, you may claim the country of birth of one of your parents if it is a country whose natives are eligible for the DV-2018 program.

Requirement 2. Each Diversity lottery applicant must meet the education and (or) work experience requirement of the DV program by having either;

1. At least a high school education or its equivalent, defined as successful completion of a 12-year course of formal elementary and secondary education.

2. Two years of work experience within the past five years in an occupation which requires at least two years of training or experience to perform.

List Of DV Lottery 2018 Eligible Countries – List Of Countries

The list below shows the countries whose natives are eligible for DV-2018, grouped by geographic region. Dependent areas overseas are included within the region of the governing country. USCIS identified the countries whose natives are not eligible for the DV-2018 program according to the formula in Section 203(c) of the INA.

The countries whose natives are not eligible for the DV program (because they are the principal source countries of Family Sponsored and Employment-Based immigration or “high-admission” countries) are noted after the respective regional lists.
